# Notes From an AI-Assisted Build Session AI tools are most interesting to me when they help a project move without flattening the personality out of it. That balance is the whole game. A useful assistant can speed up exploration, catch mistakes, and suggest structure. The human still has to decide what feels right, what belongs, and what would make the work more honest. ## Where AI helps In a build session, AI is useful for: - generating first-pass copy - spotting repeated patterns - suggesting component structure - checking for stale content - helping turn a vague goal into specific edits The value is momentum. It helps the project get unstuck. ## Where taste still matters The site still needs a point of view. Copy has to sound like a person. Visual choices need restraint. Links need to be real. A project highlight should not pretend to be more finished than it is. That is why the final pass matters. It is where the work becomes yours again. ## The lesson AI can help with the scaffolding, but the personality has to be chosen. A good personal site should feel assisted, not replaced.
