# Turning the QIESI Site Into a Personal Project Journal The QIESI site started with a polished identity: a distinctive logo, a calm blue palette, and a layout that already felt considered. The interesting challenge was not to throw that away. It was to let the same visual system tell a more personal story. ## What changed The old content was formal and service-led. The new direction is warmer: - hobby projects and small utilities - build notes and drafts - GitHub highlights - reflections on automation, AI, code, and creative technical work That shift matters because a personal site should feel like someone lives there. It can still be neat and well made, but it needs more fingerprints. ## What stayed The logo stayed. The colours stayed. The soft panels, typography, and overall rhythm stayed too. Keeping those pieces gives the site continuity. The page can become more personal without losing the recognisable QIESI identity. ## The lesson A redesign is not always a new visual language. Sometimes the better move is to keep the shell that works and change the story inside it. That is the direction for QIESI now: a home for useful little builds, notes from the middle of the work, and the kind of projects that begin with curiosity.
